Mr. Awan, was our senior Partner and is our source of inspiration and guidance. He was elected as Member of the Punjab and National Assemblies of Pakistan in 1977 and 1988 respectively. He was Federal Minister of State for Information and Industry. He had been the Justice of the Hon’ble Lahore High Court.
Mr. Ameer, was our Senior Partner. He coached, mentored and led us in this challenging world in a manner where values such like integrity, excellence, accountability and teamwork have been given the utmost importance. Mr. Ameer engraved the approach to always work as a team while observing the other values. We shall always strive to practice the values settled by our beloved mentor.
Mr. Ameer graduated from Faisalabad Agriculture University in 1968. He then pursued his graduation in Law, Masters in Political Sciences and Certification in Taxation Laws from the University of Punjab. Mr. Ameer had been Director Commercial, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited and was a pioneer of Beverages Industry in Pakistan.
Mr. Ahmed, Senior Partner, has diverse experience of 16 years in Constitutional Litigation, Civil Litigation, Corporate/Commercial Law, Employment Laws, Competition Laws, Food laws, Investment Laws, Banking and Microfinance laws, Digital Payments Solutions and Telecommunication Laws, Media Laws, Drugs and Agricultural Sciences Laws, Land Acquisitions, Consumer Protection Laws, Taxation Laws, Laws pertaining to Corporations Reorganizations/Restructurings, Inheritance and Family Laws etc. and matters pertaining to Corporate Governance. He is advising numbers of Multinationals and National businesses on legal aspects of business strategies, restructurings, investments, extensions, germination of new businesses, online workplace and businesses, regulatory affairs, protection of goodwill and intellectual properties, contract negotiations, turnkey projects, etc.. He has been involved in multiple transactions of mergers and acquisitions involving drafting and negotiation of assets and shares purchase agreements, detailed due diligences vis-à-vis legal and financial health, procurement of requisite approvals etc. He has also recently advised on establishment of an Electronic Money Institution by a leading telecommunication Company. He has also undertaken transactions involving foreign exchange remittances, foreign direct investments and establishment of payment solutions and data merchandising businesses.
He has rendered services to the Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited for a period of more than four years as an In-house Counsel. There he led restructurings, compliances, litigation, contract negotiations, turn key projects, investments, products validations/approvals and protection, adoption of technology for operations/conduct of business and various studies on applicable laws dealing with FMCG sector. Mr. Ahmed has also rendered services to organization(s) currently working on reformation of Media Laws and as well to representatives of ILO. Mr. Ahmed is an Advocate High Court.
Mr. Ahmed completed his Masters in Corporate & Commercial Law from the University of London. He is Law Graduate as well as Commerce Graduate both from the University of Punjab. He also holds Certification in Competition Laws from London School of Economics. He holds Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Law and Certification in Economic Regulation, both from the University of London. Mr. Ahmed has also been certified by HRCI as “Certified Workplace Investigator” in 2014.
Mr. Riaz, Senior Partner, has diverse transactional experience, encompassing telecommunications laws, agency and distribution laws, food and drug laws, foreign collaborations, franchising, intellectual property rights and foreign direct investment in China, India and Pakistan. He has acted as legal advisor to reputed multinational companies and represented them in litigation, negotiating and finalizing various business and commercial arrangements. He also defended large number of cases involving complex telecommunication, IT, competition and commercial claims. He also advises on electronic money transactions, corporate structures, compliance with regulatory authorities.
Mr. Riaz has more than 14 years’ experience in defense of claims across a wide range of allegedly defective consumer goods and services. He is well regarded as trusted adviser to many private sector entities on their corporate environmental compliance, strategic management of environment and planning. He also has a refined understanding of all areas of intellectual property law, debt recovery, commercial contracts, software and IT development and implementation with special expertise in innovation focused industries such as media and telecommunications.
He has been empanelled as an Arbitrator by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in Pakistan.
He did his LL.M from La Trobe University, Australia. He is registered as foreign lawyer in Queensland, Australia and member of International Bar Association. He has also studied computer science at master level from University of the Central Punjab.
Shameel is a highly regarded Uk & Australian-qualified lawyer with more than 16 years of global experience working across multiple jurisdictions including Middle East, Africa, Pakistan & Afghanistan. He is a leading corporate lawyer with a deep understanding of the region and advises clients on complex transactions. Having held senior positions both globally and locally with Companies like (IFFCO, Tetra Pak, Coca-Cola, Telenor & Ufone), Shameel has handled complex projects worth Billions of Dollars and has led the transformation of legal functions to handle the day-to-day tasks swiftly and efficiently. Shameel has served as Head of Legal (Americas, Middle East, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa & Pakistan) for IFFCO, the largest FMCG Company in the middle east with more than 80 brands and a revenue of more than 10 Billion Dollars annually.
He has also served as Senior Legal Counsel (Europe, Middle East & Africa) at Tetra Pak a Swedish–Swiss multinational food packaging and processing company with head offices in Lund, Sweden, and Pully, Switzerland. A world leader in food processing and packaging the company has a revenue of more than 11 Billion USD annually operates in more than 160 countries and has more than 20,000 employees world with. Here Shameel was looking after the West Africa, Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan region.
Prior to joining Tetra Pak, Shameel has extensive experience with FMCG and Telecom sectors working as Legal Counsel for Coca-Cola Icecek, Manager of Legal Corporate Affairs and Operational Excellence for Ufone and Head of Contracts for Telenor.

Ms. Zahida, partner, holds Master of Laws in Commercial Law from the prestigious BPP University London. She graduated law from the University of Punjab and a Diploma in Banking Law from the same university. She also holds acquired master's degree in political science and further enriched her legal skills with a Diploma in Contract Law from Harvard Law School. She possesses a very diverse experience as a practicing Attorney and has a license to appear before the Hon’ble High Courts.
The work in particular includes company secretariat compliances, establishing and protecting intellectual capital such as Patents, Copy Rights and Trade Marks, drafting/vetting diverse nature of Agreements including but not limited to the Service Level Agreements, Commercial Agreements, Lease/Tenancy Agreements, Employment Agreements, Letters/Memorandum of Intent/Understanding, Procurement Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and incorporation of Companies. In recent times was involved in establishment of an Electronic Money Institution for a leading telecom sector company. She has also been engaged in legal compliance audits of firm’s multiple Clients.
Mr. Shahid, the Senior Counsel, joined the Firm in 2016 and is currently based at the Islamabad office of the Firm. His role at the firm encompasses a wide range of legal matters. His domain of legal expertise involves transactional work of reputed national and international entities, commercial and corporate matters and most importantly labour matters. During his stay at the Firm, he has also gained considerable experience in civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Shahid regularly appears before the Hon’ble High Courts and subordinate courts, across the length and breadth of the country.
Mr. Summair, Senior Counsel-Litigation, following completion of his Bachelor of Laws pursued his Master of Laws degree. His domain of expertise is civil, corporate, banking and labour litigation. He also looks after the transactional and advisory work related to the Registration of documents, Land Acquisitions, Public Procurement Procedures, and labour matters which include conducting research, rendering opinions, and working on detailed due diligence assignments. He regularly appears before the Hon’ble High Courts, District and Civil Courts as well as special courts.
Mr. Ahmad, Senior Counsel-Litigation & Advisory, joined the firm in 2017. He directly assists the Partners on a range of litigation matters before the Hon’ble High Courts. His forte is civil, constitutional, and corporate law. He looks after the transactional and advisory matters related to the Real Estate, Land Acquisitions, Project Financing and Public Procurement Procedures which includes conducting research, rendering opinions, drafting, and vetting agreements and working on due diligence projects. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked in a reputed law firm based at Lahore. He regularly appears before the Hon’ble High Courts, District and Civil Courts of the Country.
Ms. Noor, Counsel Corporate & Advisory, has graduated from University of London (International Degree Program) with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2018. After gaining a variety of experience as an intern at various institutions including Courting the Law, Nestle’ Pakistan Ltd., Axis Law Chambers and Punjab Information Commission, she has joined EBAAD-AL-VAKEEL Advocates LL.P. as an Associate Counsel in January 2020. Corporate law is mainly her area of expertise. To be more specific, her interest and grip revolves around advising multinational and national companies on a magnitude of legal matters, extensive legal research, drafting legal responses on behalf of the companies, conducting legal audits of companies, and drafting pleadings in a spectrum of litigation matters. Ms. Noor is currently pursuing her Barrister Training Course since January 2022, with an exit route of LLM from BPP University, London. She is also a member of the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
Danish Dost, Counsel Litigation & Advisory, graduated with Bachelor of Laws from Bahria University, Islamabad, with a silver medal and a cum laude honour. He also remained in Rector's Honor list throughout his course of studies. He joined team EAV in June 2021. Prior to joining EAV, Dost has worked as legal intern at various prestigious law offices including Legal Department, CM Pak (Zong) and Kundi & Kundi (Advocates and Legal Consultants). He also holds certification in "International law in action: Investigating and prosecuting international crimes” from University of Leiden. His areas of interest include civil litigation, arbitration, and intellectual property laws.
Ms. Shagufta, Counsel Advisory, after completing her law studies joined Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited as an intern in Legal and Human Resources Departments. She has also worked as an in-house counsel in Sapphire Retail Limited. At EAV she is involved in extensive research work and advisory services to multiple clients.
